Sadly, the 2nd best team in baseball gets ousted in a one game playoff, depreciating the value of the current playoff system. It was a great season, but the Pirates once again ran into a pitcher at the top of their game. While confident that the Buccos would win a series – any series – this season, a “one game series” makes that impossible.

Summer is officially over.
